Andrew Trimmer

Oh, hello! I’m Andrew, a Midwestern transplant now living and working in New York City. I moved to the city in 2019, bright-eyed and ready to dive headfirst into the theatre scene… just seven months before the world pressed “pause.” Since then, it’s been a journey of rediscovery, resilience, and renewed hope in the vibrant theatre scene I’ve always loved and admired.

I’m a classically trained stage actor with a particular fondness for Shakespeare — I love sinking my teeth into language that’s rich, demanding, and alive. That said, nothing excites me more than stepping into a rehearsal room for a brand-new piece, especially devised work. There’s a special kind of electricity in building something from scratch with a group of passionate weirdos, and that’s where I feel most at home.

Beyond the stage, I’ve appeared in independent films and commercial projects, and I write and develop my own theatrical work as well. After a few years of creative detours, I’m happily back in the mix, creating work I’m deeply passionate about and sharing it with my fellow artists and, hopefully, the world.
